I’m reading the Internet and documenting much of the journey, leaving bits and pieces of myself hither and yon in cyberspace, happy in the knowledge that long after I’m gone there will be something left of me… this IS my immortality… and I’m just fine with that.
Having been neither born nor married into/divorced from wealth, I have to work for a living – just like I have since Jimmy Carter was President. I’ve done a lot of things for a lot of people and picked as many brains as I could from every job I ever had. No matter my title, or what industry I found myself in, at the end of the day what made me feel “successful” was being able to help someone solve a problem or learn something new.
If there’s one piece of advice I’d give every soul on earth, it’s to surround yourself both personally and professionally with people who inspire and encourage you to be who you are and do what you love, always growing and learning.
What makes life meaningful are the lives we touch, however briefly or profoundly, for all our days on earth.
